and QUALITY COMMITMENT LLP-ERASMUS PROGRAMME

II. DETAILS OF THE PROPOSED TRAINING PROGRAMME ABROAD

Planned dates of start and end of the placement period: from 30.06.2013 till 30.09.2013, that is 3 months


- Knowledge, skills and competence to be acquired:


  • The student will get new experience and knowledge,

  • The student will get new practical skills,

  • The student will be able to compare educational systems and UE youth programmes in Poland and in UK,

  • team-working, problem-solving, using own initiative,

  • social skills, especially the ability to empethise with others,

  • IT – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher,

COMMUNICATION:

    • written English - confidence in taking minutes and writing simple correspondence;

    • spoken English - communicating effectively with people whose first language is not English; active listening skill.

- Knowledge – the intern will learn about:

  • EIL on-going programmes e.g. Leonardo, EVS, homestays,

  • Practical work in a UK charity,

  • Policies and procedures,

  • Working in the Third Sector.



  • Detailed programme of the training period:

Personal Assistant

The ERASMUS Intern will work closely with Mrs Victoria Perry, the director of EIL UK. Sample tasks will include:



  • Assisting in day-to-day administrative activities e.g. filing the documents, receiving and sending correspondence;

  • Taking minutes;

  • Carrying out research on specified topics;


Alumni Database

The tasks will involve:



  • Contacting previous participants of the EIL programmes;

  • Setting up an ‘alumni’ database’ to gather feedback about their experiences and benefits/impact of intercultural programmes.

Feedback gathered on the database will help to generate marketing as well as to establish what works best in order to develop new work at EIL. The Alumni group which will be created afterwards would be encouraged to engage further with EIL, either to take advantage of other projects/programme, or to support EIL as volunteers, or to get involved in the governance of EIL. We would like to make as much use as possible of this valuable resource.

- Tasks of the trainee:





  • Get information about specific of work in the institution,

  • Plan his own work in cooperation with practice coordinator,

  • Help the staff,

  • Carry on the institution documentation,

  • Assess his own work,

  • Participate in 100 % practice programme,

- Monitoring and evaluation plan:



  • Practice coordinator must get to know the student, teach the student, correct mistakes, inform about organization and specific of work,

  • Assess student,

  • Monitoring will be also done by Polish Erasmus Coordinator,

  • Evaluation will be done at the end of practice by Practice coordinator and the student.



- To be able to perform the tasks, the minimum level of language competence expected from the trainee in the main working language that the trainee will use at the host department/ organisation is: English

For Erasmus student placements

This Quality Commitment replicates the principles of the European Quality Charter for Mobility



THE SENDING HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION* UNDERTAKES TO:

Define the learning outcomes of the placement in terms of the knowledge, skills and competencies to be acquired

Assist the student in choosing the appropriate host organisation, project duration and placement content to achieve these learning outcomes

Select students on the basis of clearly defined and transparent criteria and procedures and sign a placement contract with the selected students.

Prepare students for the practical, professional and cultural life of the host country, in particular through language training tailored to meet their occupational needs

Provide logistical support to students concerning travel arrangements, visa, accommodation, residence or work permits and social security cover and insurance

Give full recognition to the student for satisfactory completed activities specified in the Training Agreement

Evaluate with each student the personal and professional development achieved through participation in the Erasmus programme

THE SENDING INSTITUTION* AND HOST ORGANISATION JOINTLY UNDERTAKE TO:

Negotiate and agree a tailor-made Training Agreement (including the programme of the placement and the recognition arrangements) for each student and the adequate mentoring arrangements



Monitor the progress of the placement and take appropriate action if required

THE HOST ORGANISATION UNDERTAKES TO:

Assign to students tasks and responsibilities (as stipulated in the Training Agreement) to match their knowledge, skills, competencies and training objectives and ensure that appropriate equipment and support is available

Draw a contract or equivalent document for the placement in accordance with the requirements of the national legislation

Appoint a mentor to advise students, help them with their integration in the host environment and monitor their training progress

Provide practical support if required, check appropriate insurance cover and facilitate understanding of the culture of the host country



THE STUDENT UNDERTAKES TO:

Comply with all arrangements negotiated for his/her placement and to do his/her best to make the placement a success

Abide by the rules and regulations of the host organisation, its normal working hours, code of conduct and rules of confidentiality

Communicate with the sending institution about any problem or changes regarding the placement

Submit a report in the specified format and any required supporting documents at the end of the placement

* In the event that the higher education institution is integrated in a consortium, its commitments may be shared with the co-ordinating organisation of the consortium

INSTYTUCJA WYSYŁAJĄCA BĘDĄCA INSTYTUCJĄ SZKOLNICTWA WYŻSZEGO* ZOBOWIĄZUJE SIĘ:

Określić oczekiwane efekty praktyki w kategoriach wiedzy, umiejętności i kompetencji społecznych, jakie mają nabyć studenci.

Pomóc studentom w wyborze odpowiedniej instytucji przyjmującej, programu praktyki oraz jej czasu trwania, ażeby umożliwić studentowi osiągnięcie tych rezultatów.

Wybrać studentów na podstawie przejrzystych, jasno określonych kryteriów i procedur oraz podpisać umowę na realizację wyjazdu w celu odbycia praktyki z wybranymi studentami.

Przygotować studentów do życia zawodowego i kulturalnego, a także do warunków życia codziennego panujących w kraju goszczącym, przede wszystkim poprzez szkolenie językowe ukierunkowane na ich potrzeby zawodowe.

Zapewnić studentom wsparcie logistyczne


w odniesieniu do podróży, zakwaterowania, kwestii związanych z uzyskaniem wizy/ pozwolenia na pobyt lub pracę, ubezpieczenia społecznego oraz innego typu ubezpieczenia.

W pełni uznać praktykę zrealizowaną w zadowalającym stopniu przez studenta, zgodnie z „Porozumieniem o programie praktyki”.

Dokonać - wraz z każdym studentem - oceny jego rozwoju osobistego i zawodowego, jaki miał miejsce dzięki uczestnictwu w programie Erasmus.

INSTYTUCJA WYSYŁAJĄCA* I INSTYTUCJA PRZYJMUJĄCA WSPÓLNIE ZOBOWIĄZUJĄ SIĘ:

Wynegocjować i podpisać „Porozumienie o programie praktyki” dostosowane do indywidualnych potrzeb studenta (uwzględniające program praktyki i warunki uznania) oraz poczynić odpowiednie ustalenia dotyczące opieki mentora (indywidualnego doradcy/opiekuna).



Monitorować postępy studenta podczas praktyki oraz podjąć odpowiednie działania, o ile zajdzie taka potrzeba.

INSTYTUCJA PRZYJMUJĄCA ZOBOWIĄZUJE SIĘ:

Przydzielić studentom zadania i obowiązki (jak wyszczególniono w „Porozumieniu o programie praktyki”) odpowiadające ich wiedzy, umiejętnościom, kompetencjom społecznym oraz celom szkolenia, a także zapewnić im dostęp do odpowiedniego wyposażenia i materiałów.

Sporządzić umowę lub równorzędny dokument dot. praktyki zgodnie z wymogami prawa krajowego.



Wyznaczyć mentora (opiekuna), odpowiedzialnego za doradzanie studentom, pomoc w integrowaniu się ze środowiskiem lokalnym oraz śledzenie ich postępów w procesie szkoleniowym.

Zapewnić wsparcie praktyczne, o ile zajdzie taka potrzeba sprawdzać, czy studenci posiadają odpowiednie polisy ubezpieczeniowe oraz ułatwiać im zrozumienie kultury kraju goszczącego.



STUDENT ZOBOWIĄZUJE SIĘ:

Przestrzegać wszystkich ustaleń wynegocjowanych w związku z daną praktyką i dołożyć wszelkich starań, aby pomyślnie ukończyć praktykę.

Stosować się do zasad i przepisów instytucji przyjmującej, obowiązujących w niej godzin pracy, kodeksu postępowania oraz zasad zachowania poufności.

Kontaktować się z instytucją wysyłającą w przypadku wszelkich problemów lub zmian dotyczących praktyki.

Po zakończeniu praktyki przedłożyć sprawozdanie w przewidzianej formie wraz z wszelką wymaganą dokumentacją.

* W przypadku, gdy instytucja szkolnictwa wyższego jest zrzeszona w konsorcjum, może dzielić się obowiązkami z koordynatorem konsorcjum.
