significance of mechanical composition of aeolian sands and used of statistical methods for reconstruction of velocity of paleowinds, apply of graniformametry and microscopic methods for determination of sand grain shapes for estimation of sand transport in air conditions.

Content:

Outline of the history of th mining. Distribution and extraction main natural resources. Research of the relief of mining areas. Geomorphological effects of the mining and classifications of mining landforms. Anthropogenic relief of selected mining areas. Processes transformed mining landforms in different climate zones. Influence of the mining on the natural environment. Examples of protected mining landscapes.

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the needs of the geographic exclusion area construction, agricultural and industrial use due to existing ecophysiographic conditions.

Content:

The course deals with issues related to the need to identify for planning floodplains, landslide, avalanches and areas threatened with handicaps microclimate. Issues will also be taken into account the need to preserve valuable natural areas (ecological corridors, areas and objects worthy of protection), viewpoints, attractive landscape features and potential geological resources. Issues concerning the needs and methods for groundwater protection will be also discussed.

Content:

Lectures: Definition and history of bioclimatology. Bioclimatological stimuli and their importance; valuation of the climatic conditions stimulativity. Possibility of use of climatological factors for medicinal aims (climatotherapy). Weather phases and meteorotropal illnesses. Influence of meteorological factors on the rest and recreation conditions. Methods of bioclimatological investigations; biometeorological indices (effective temperature, enthalpy, wind chill factor); scales for perceptibility of the atmospheric conditions. Bioclimate of Poland. Phenology. Elementary dendroclimatology.

Exercises: A comparison of bioclimatological conditions of health resorts located in different region sof Poland with regard to differentiation in seasons.
