“PAINTING INSPIRATIONS BY FRYDERYK CHOPIN’S MUSIC”
The High School of Fine Arts in Rzeszów (Zespół Szkół Plastycznych) and the Centre of Art Education invite to participate in the International Art Competition whose aim is artistic synthesis of painting and music. The inspiration for creating painting art works should be drawn from the music by Fryderyk Chopin. The competition is held as a part of commemoration of two hundred anniversary of Chopin’s birthday within the Year of Fryderyk Chopin in Poland.
The aim of the competition The aim of the competition is popularisation the music by Fryderyk Chopin`s and development of aesthetic sensibility of teenagers. The main aim of this competition is expressing music using different painting techniques and manifestation of artistic expression which appears under the influence of Chopin`s music. The organizers of the competition want to make the collection of paintings which were inspired by Fryderyk Chopin`s music.
The participation regulations All participants aged 16-20 should send their painting works created in any artistic styles and techniques, inspired by Fryderyk Chopin`s pieces of music. Each participant is allowed to send maximum up to three painting art works, which size cannot be larger than 100x70cm. The following information on the reverse of each artwork are required to be included;
The closing registration date: 11th June 2010.
The Results of the Competition The results of the competition will be announced on 18th June 2010 in the City Art Gallery at the High School of Fine Arts in Rzeszów, Poland. The after-competition exhibition will be open on 1st September 2010 in The City Art Gallery at the High School of Fine Arts in Rzeszów, Poland (Galeria Miejska Zespołu Szkół Plastycznych in Rzeszów).
The Prizes 1st Prize – 1.500 PLN
2nd Prize – 1.000 PLN
3rd Prize – 500 PLN
Furthermore, ten authors will be awarded with the participation in the 1st Master Painting Courses , which will be run by Prof. … and Prof. … and take place from 1st to 14th July, 2010 in the Łańcut Castle Museum. The Competition Organizers will cover the costs of participation in the courses and accommodation in Łańcut for the prize-winner contestants.
Awarded and appreciated works presented at the exhibition will be at the disposal of the Competition Organizers. Participating in this competition means the approval of present regulations and the use of works in promotional aim.
