Communique no 2 International Scientific Conference INNOVATIONS IN MODERN MANAGEMENT
Krakow - Zakopane, 8-10 March 2011 The Faculty of Management and Social Communication of the Jagiellonian University invites you to take part in the scientific conference focusing on innovations in modern management.
Representatives of all scientific communities including scholars conducting or planning to conduct research in future as well as university lecturers specialising in the domain of management sciences are invited to attend the conference. In addition, practitioners of business management, as well as of public and civil sector management are encouraged to participate in the conference.
The key goal of the conference is to integrate the scientific community, that is, researchers and other professionals interested in innovations in managing modern organizations, and to disseminate recent research outcomes, to contribute to the development of directions in management sciences that are indispensable in business practice. The conference has also an educational goal, concerning dissemination of methods and good practices in innovation magagement.
The specific objectives of the conference are as follows:
Get acquainted with the latest research findings on modern management in the context of innovation of concepts, methods and models, and introduce a scientific discussion related to the following topics in particular: organizational conditionings of innovation, innovation management systems, creativity management, building innovation culture, organizational innovation processes and methods, management innovators etc.
Initiate a discussion on practical meaning of innovative management instruments in modern organizations.
Share experience in lecturing on organizational innovations and implementation instruments.
After being positively assessed original conference contributions will be published in the journal “Modern Management Ouarterly” (“Współczesne Zarządzanie”), including publishing in no 3/2010 and following.
The conference proceedings will take place in Aula Magna in Collegium Novum UJ starting at 11.00 a.m. on the first day. The lunch is planned at 3.00 p.m. and a bus to Zakopane at 4.00 p.m. The dinner will take place at 7.00 p.m. The next day, after sessions, participants are invited to take part in an open-air event. The return on 10 march is self organized (we do not provide a transport to Cracow).
The conference fee is set at 1350 zl, which includes attendance at all conference sessions, publicationof an article, a complete set of printed abstracts and meals. We book the rooms in Hyrny Hotel, where the conference will take place. The accomodation should be payed directly at the hotel.
The conference is planned for 120 people. The participation is determined by the sequence of applications.

by 30 October 2010 the registration form including a title and an abstract of a contribution (aboutone page, font: Times New Roman, 11-point, single-spacing) should be submitted both in Polish and English to the e-mail account: firstname.lastname@example.org
by 30 November 2010 extended conference contributions are to be sent; only contributions that have not been published elsewhere and have not been submitted for publication elsewhere will be accepted; instructions for authors are to be downloaded from the website www.isp.uj.edu.pl from 1 June 2010.
by 15 December 2010 notifications of acceptance will be sent along with a draft programme of the conference.
by 1 January 2011 the fee payment, after receiving information of acceptance, should be transferred to the bank account number 94 1240 4722 1111 0000 4856 6759with a note „Conference 2010”.
In case of cancellation of participation in the conference including publishing the paper, before
1 Fabruary 2011, 50 percent of the fee will be refunded.
by 20 February 2011 detailed conference programme will be sent out.
