Treści merytoryczne przedmiotu

W trakcie seminarium zdefiniujemy i scharakteryzujemy travel books jako gatunek literatury, a następnie prześledzimy historię jego rozwoju z perspektywy anglojęzycznej krytyki literackiej. Szczególną uwagę zwrócimy na „hybrydowość” travel books i ich związki z autobiografią, reportażem, esejem literackim, opowiadaniem, powieścią.
W swoich pracach licencjackich seminarzyści będą badać samodzielnie wybrane anglojęzyczne travel books; od elżbietańskich do post-modernistycznych
